Every chart below respects the filters set on the index, so you can narrow to a domain or a chip family and watch the same questions re-answer themselves.

Shares and distributions, not raw yearly totals. Discovery over-sampled recent repositories, so absolute counts per year describe the crawl rather than the world; dividing by that year's population cancels the bias out of both sides. The one chart that does show raw counts is labelled as such.

Buildable counts four things a design needs before someone else can remake it: editable source files, a licence that permits it, a bill of materials, and assembly notes. Firmware, drivers, tooling and simulators show : there is no physical artefact to rebuild.
